Minavil House Cantilever Scaffold Design – Alperton, London
Minavil House is a landmark mixed-use development in Alperton, London, comprising residential, commercial and retail space within a 27-storey tower. Ultimate Design Studio provided specialist scaffold engineering support for a complex cantilever access solution designed to facilitate façade works at the upper levels of the building.
Project Description
Minavil House is a 110m tall residential-led mixed-use development located in Alperton, London HA0. The development includes new homes alongside office, café and supermarket facilities, creating a significant addition to the local area.
As part of the construction programme, mast climbers were the primary access solution across the façade. However, certain areas of the building could not be reached using the rack and pinion systems, requiring a bespoke scaffolding solution to provide safe access for the remaining works.
Working alongside APT Scaffolding, we designed a cantilever scaffold positioned at the 16th-floor level to allow façade works to be completed above the final crane tie position. The scaffold provided access to the upper three floors, including the installation of architectural cladding features and adjacent balconies.
The project required detailed engineering calculations and careful planning to ensure the cantilever structure could safely support the required loads while maintaining efficient access for operatives working at significant height.
